Hi all,
We are using oracle 10G + linux RedHat AS 3.0 for development and oracle 8i + Win32 for production server.

We are using UTF8 encoding on 8i.
So to this moment we are using olso 8i for development and we are able to transfer needet data to production server.
We are using :
set nsl_lang=.UTF8
exp ....

and on production server :
set nsl_lang=.UTF8
imp ....
It was working very well.

After migration to 10G if we try to make the export we found this message:

Connected to: Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.2.0 - Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP and Data Mining options
Export done in US7ASCII character set and UTF8 NCHAR character set
server uses AL32UTF8 character set (possible charset conversion)

After import all the UTF8 symbols are unreadable (We are using some cyrullic symbols).

Can some one point me how to resolve the problem.

many thanks in advance,
ivan.

I'm upgrading numerous Oralce 8i,9i DB's and
8i,9iAS on Solaris 8.

What method of migration did you use?
Export/import or DBUA?

What processes are involved?

Thanks,
Chris
