Performance problem on Data Guard [message #475547] Wed, 15 September 2010 09:45 Go to next message

Hi all,

I have migrated one schema of my database from 10gR2 to 11gR2. On this new database i have configured data Guard on maximum performance mode.

The problem my external users are facing is that while try to save a record on the page it is taking too much time to save the record.

since the old schema was on 10g database, the users were not getting the problem. even in my test 10g, it is not taking time, 20 to 30 sec.

But on 11g with data guard, users are waiting for 4 to 5 minutes even more.

Welcome to DGMGRL, type "help" for information.
DGMGRL> connect sys/password

pup2stdby - Physical standby database

Fast-Start Failover: DISABLED

Configuration Status:

Please help?

Enable SQL_TRACE & post results from tkprof

What clues exist with alert_SID.log file for both Primary & Standby?
