Hi..

I was working on a view v1. But accidentally I compiled another view with the same name v1. Now I have lost the code of the original view.

How can I recover the view definition of my orginal view v1.

Kindly help.

Thanks.

By extract it from your source code control system or restoring from backups.

Use indexfile parameter and extract the view definition from generated file.

I ***believe*** , indexfile option may not show view contents (or at least as of 9i).
If it does not show, standard workaround is to use show=y log=somelogfile
