Hi

I have a dump of 9GB. I am importing the dump using below command:

imp system file=active01.dmp,active02.dmp,active03.dmp,..............,active18.dmp log=imp_120208.log full=y

But i got the below error:

IMP-00009: abnormal end of export file
IMP-00028: partial import of previous table rolled back: 9808336 rows rolled back
Import terminated successfully with warnings.

I have tried to import the dump again using:

imp system file=active01.dmp,active02.dmp,active03.dmp,..............,active18.dmp log=imp_120208.log buffer=40000000 full=y

imp userid=system file="active1.dmp,active2.dmp,................,active18.dmp log=imp_140208.log filesize=524288000 full=y

But again and again i am getting the same error.

We have requested the client to provide the dump again as might be there is some corruption in the dumpfile. So client has provide the dump again but still we are getting the same errors.

Please suggest to resolve the issue.

Thanks
Gulshan

How exactly?
FTP? Did you use bin option?
How was the export done? Conventional or direct path?
Is there a difference in Source / target versions?

Hi Mahesh,

Client used to sent the dump files through ftp and we always use binary mode to download the files.

Client used to send the files on weekly basis.

We are not aware about the Oracle version used at client side but earlier also client sent the dump file and we did not face any problem.

This is the first time we are getting this error.

Thanks
Gulshan

Did you try to import file by file to see which one may be corrupted / not ended correctly ?

Do you have all the dump files?
Did you have any error during export?

Regards
Michel
