Hi,
During the import in schema i got error like

IMP-00009: abnormal end of export file
IMP-00018: partial import of previous table completed: 491505 rows imported
Import terminated successfully with warnings.

My import command:

imp system/simple@maple file=exp_lanmtdemo_robin_feb04.dmp log=lanmtdemo.log fromuser=lanmtdemo
touser=lanmtdemo commit=y buffer=1000000000

May be your dmp file is corrupt.
Did you ftp the file? Edit it?
And, not related to this issue
with commit=y , you are inviting trouble.

Also, some OS's cannot handle a file larger than 2gb for import.
