I have been looking through several docs for the correct syntax to back up a 10g database.

I want to backup the database and archivelogs to disk backup sets, due to limited disk space and can only keep one days worth of backups and archive on disk, once the archives have been backed up I want them deleted.

I have trawled through several URL be am unable to get a definitive answer as to what should be listed when.

· Backup and Recovery Basics
· Backup and Recovery Advanced User's Guide
