hi every body ,
documents say :
By default, the format of the autobackup file for all configured devices is the substitution variable %F in the FORMAT clause. This variable format translates into c-IIIIIIIIII-YYYYMMDD-QQ, with the placeholders defined as follows:

IIIIIIIIII stands for the DBID.

YYYYMMDD is a time stamp of the day the backup is generated.

QQ is the hex sequence that starts with 00 and has a maximum of FF.

but my controlfile autobackup comes with format like this :
O1_MF_S_637262657_3LDOVQ4D_.BKP
i didn't find the dbid or yyyymmdd in the above format any body knows why?
i tried to change the format for controlfile autobackup
configure controlfile autobackup format for device type disk to '%d--%F';
i got this format for autobackup PEI--C-1903334493-20071030-04 which is nice , i can find the dbid,yyyymmdd, but the problem is it is not set on the flash recovery area
Can any body tell me why i am not getting the correct format in the first situation , and why i am getting the controlfile autobackup on D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\database and not on flash recovery area.
thanks for reading.
regards.

If you let Oracle fully manage the files via the FRA then you don't have a choice of the format.
