I checked my oracle home variable and it is set correctly however i could not find SID .
If both oracle home variable and SID both are correctly set. What further should I need to do to start up the listner so that;the above discussed errors are removed.

If you couldn't find SID then your variables are not correctly set.
Post the result of the command I asked.

Michel

I asked ORACLE in UPPER case.
Can't you read? Can't you just make a copy and paste?

You have no database.
I'm not sure you correctly installed Oracle.
Why do you want to start a listener?

Michel
