fast copy/duplicate of database (NetApp/time finder-SRDF/BCV) [message #270448]

Whats is the fastest way to create a copy of a database. I have a once a week request to copy production database into downstream(dev/qa/UAT) environments. DB Size :350Gb

SO, basically it takes me about half a day atleast to finish this

Considering moving to NetApp storage, to take advantage of the snapmirror capabilities
I guess we can do SRDF/BCV techinique too but needs ton of additional storage

will appreciate thoughts on the above and also suggestions of any other better way too..

Well with Transportable tablespaces we still have to export metadata/copy files at the OS leveel /import data.. still a lot of time and a ton of manual steps ...

It does not solve the time issue
