Oracle version-10g R2 10.2.0.1.0
OS version - RHEL 4.0 (2.6.9-5 EL)

am having two oracle database

Database 1--dbsib
and i had created recovery catalog in dbsib.

Database 2--newdb

Both the database is in different nodes.

now in another new node i had installed oracle software alone.

i had already taken backups in newdb database.Backup of autobackup control file, datafile, archivelog.i had taken the backups in disk.i had also created the pfile also from spfile in newdb.

And i copied all these backups datas manually to the new node where i installed oracle software.

by using the pfile i just try to start the instance but i face the following errors.

i followed the RMAN advance user guide,
in that they had given that in page(8-13 to 8-18)

How many times you posted same thing,

About the error no autobackup found. Did you do configure autobackup on? I think no. If yes then locate a valid copy of backup.

Then you don't trust Oracle. So find it yours' one.
no autobackup found or specified handle is not a valid copy or piece

Cause

A restore could not proceed because no autobackup was found or
specified handle is not a valid copy or backup piece. In case of
restore from autobackup, it may be the case that a backup exists,
but it does not satisfy the criteria specified in the user"s
restore operands. In case of restore from handle, it may be the
handle is not a backup piece or controflile copy. In may be that it
does not exist.

Action

Modify autobackup search criteria or verify the handle.
