OEM login page - nothing happens [message #268887]

This is my emctl status. and it is running fine.
I got the default page using the url given below ie http://innov3.chn.local:5501/em/console/aboutApplication

I could see username, password and three options normal,sysoper and sysdba. i tried sys/sys as sysdba (provided during DBCA configuration assitant for the this instance) on the page. when i click the login button at bottom of the page ,nothing is happening .. i am still in the same page and i dont see any error also. what could be the problem. please someone help me... thanks in advance.

Hi,
It is related to OS problem. may be you have to disable firewall setting.
or
use IP address in URL address bar instead of LOCALHOST.

Thank you Taj,

i tried the what u said .. disabled the firewall and tried with ip address.. still the same issue. and i could see the url is getting appeneded with # after clicking the login button.
somthing like this ...

Restart emctl,

I think you should drop repository via some sql commands
like drop user
and then configure it again with EMCA.
and start dbconsole with new configuration.
I strongly hope change in your web configurtion will solve ur trouble

1. First try with normal user except "sysdba".
2. It is also possible due to security reason.
for that ...

login to administrator user on system(OS)
open internet explore page.
----> go tools 
--------> internet options
-------------->security
------------------->trusted sites
----------------------> here add EM URL and click "add" & "ok".

then try.

Thanks Mohamed for your reply.
I have checked the security settings and added the URL to trusted sites but still the same problem. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled Oracle but still the same problem.

It's not oracle problem. Try to change your browser ( I mean update your browser or better use mozilla browser)
