Our client is looking for knowledgeable DBAs with experience in UNIX (HPUX or AIX)/Oracle in a client/server environment.
The candidate is expected to have the following minimum qualifications:
Must be able to perform Oracle software new installs and upgrades as well as third-party tools. RAC experience is a required.
Must be knowledgeable regarding backup/recovery strategies, including RMAN and competently implement them.
Must have strong PL/SQL and SQL skills.
Must be able to create instances and database objects, as well as modify existing ones.
Must be able to monitor and optimize the performance of the database.
Must be able to employ Oracle advanced features like; triggers, stored procedures, etc.
Must be able to use all Oracle utilities including grid control and OEM.
Must be able to write and maintain UNIX shell scripts.
Must be able to comfortably administer RAW UNIX devices.
Oracle Advanced replication experience is a plus.
Must have good written and verbal skills
Oracle 9I and 10G experience will be required.
Must to able to work stand-alone, if necessary
Position located in Duluth, GA ( suburb or Atlanta ).
