I know I attached a file to a thread and the file is named 'djm_t4.fmb' but I can find it.

Can I 'look' in a directory on the machine to find the attachment and then deduce as to which thread or post it is attached? If so, how?

Could the search engine do some of the following:
Have a checkbox to limit the search to entries with attachments?
Ability to search for threads with a rating higher than something?
Be able to search for the attachment name?

Could the search display do some of the following:
Show the 'star rating' of a thread?
Show whether the posting or the thread has an attachment?

I will leave it to Frank Naude to address future search functionality, but in the meanwhile, you can always use Google to find your thread by searching for the attachment:

I don't wish to appear obtuse but googling 'djm_t4.fmb' found the file but not the thread. What did you place in the google search string?

This link points to the file but not the thread. How to get the post or thread?

When I search, I get the thread as a second result below the first one and indented to the right. Maybe if you click on similar pages? Or maybe something to do with preferences?

Strange I also get the same result as Barbara.

Im using www.google.se, but surely that would be the same engine as
.com

Must be a preference issue btw Im using Firefox
