The LightSQL development team is making a lot of effort to provide quality software like commercially available products. Near future, LightSQL is going to be a shareware instead of a freeware. You need to get a license and register or activate the license. The individual license is based on a user name and an email registered with this forum.
However, we maintain the freeware promise to the existing users whoever registered with us. We provide a free license to these registered users, and they will obtain all free updates and upgrades. After new release, Registered users can generate the free license key after logging into this forum. Afterward, the license will be sent to the email registered. The new release date for the shareware version is not finalized yet. It may be around Sept. 30, 2006 very likely. Hence, people can register as early as possible to get the free license. We do not restrict or limit number of free licenses until we release the new shareware version of LightSQL.
LightSQL is an excellent tool for oracle development environment, specially designed for oracle 9i and 10g databases. It has built-in queries that are easy for Managers, DBAs, Developers and Analysts get the output very fast. You do not need to write a query and execute. All are built-in, just need to remember where to click. You can also write special SQLs and execute it from the work-windows. The work window is designed like a notepad with more options included. You can download or export the results as text file, excel sheet, xml document or as insert statement for a temporary table. You can view the structure of a table or view; see the indexes, columns related to a table or view. It can automatically generate a table creation script.
