We are installing an application the has a clustered middle tier that relies on MSDTC and OracleMTSRecoveryService. The database is to be remote Unix Oracle RAC. The vendor docs do not call for FailSafe in the middle tier. If the cluster fails over mid transaction, won't there be an issue since the OracleMTSRecoveryService in the middle tier is not cluster aware? Doesn't TAF rely on an ability to make a call back?

I've read through the Vendor and Oracle documentation and almost all situations described are client/server. The client, not us, has the Oracle Support so we cannot open a metalink question and their dba doesn't seem interested but we want to be sure the client installation is correct regardless.

Thoughts?
