When trying to run Jinit 1.1.8.16 on a Windows 2003 (64 bit) system, the program errors out. We are on 11.5.9. Any ideas?

We're experiencing the same issue. Installation attempt on Windows 7 pro 64bit which came with the new machines...
There has to be a way, no?

"command.com", the old DOS command shell, is no longer part of Windows, so the version you are trying to install is most likely not supported anymore on newer Windows versions.

So, if I understand correctly, the jinit needs the command.com shell to operate?

Is it possible to use the Windows XPM 'virtual' solution built-in in Windows 7 Pro?

Thanks for the info!

Nope, that version works only works up to Windows 2000

I would try using Version 1.3.1.30
