Hi,
i am trying to install Oracle 9.0.1.0.1 on windows XP
while installing database i choose the option "Trasaction Processing"

The software got installed but "Database Configuration Assistant" is being installed since last 15 hours
the machine is not at all stalled

please suggest.

May be you are running out of physical memory.
Did you check the pre-requisites?
DBCA is just a tool to create the database.
