ERROR:
ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist.


What is target host and object ??

I installed Oracle 10g on Fedora core 4.

i do "/etc/oratab" is "Y"!!


help me!!

Hi,

The problem is in most likely in your TNSNAMES.ORA file. Try to ping the host names specified to see which one cannot resolve.
