During installing oracle9.204 in redhat 8,"Oracle Database Configuration Assistant" failed, the detail information is:

SIGSEGV 11* segmentation violation

The reason might be that Oracle may be picking a different java version then the one currently installed on system.

One solution is to insert the following in dbca script.

export THREAD_FLAG=native

Hope this might work 4 u....
