Hi,

We are facing problem in opening the Oracle 8i database on windows 98 platform. We are getting error messages as mentioned below:

ORA-01034 Oracle not available
ORA-01113 File 2 needs media recovery
ORA-01110 datafile 2 'c:\oracle\oradata\orcl\users01.dbf'
ORA-01033 Oracle initialization or shutdown in progress

Please let us know the solutions to fix the problem.
