No Windows Registry Cleanup correctly [message #112545]

Hello,

Each time I désinstall the Oracle DB 9i or 10g Database,
The Universal Oracle Installer does not clean carefully all the registry entries of the Registry database of windows XP- W2K or W2003 server...
Example : the LEGACY_ keys are not deleted and some SERVICE key arte not deleted too.

Any actions or solution to this very négative situation.

Thank for the Oracle or Worldwide gurus..

what is negative over here?
Oracle OUI will not clean the registry.
You have to clean it manually.

hello Sir,

The negative aspect is that the OUI does not do the thinks right.

If you know the registry keys that the OUI is putting in it.
it should easy to clean up but some keys cannot be deleted because the some rights are necessary.

We beleive that is a bug and should be fixed if possible.

Then you should have contacted Oracle Support immediately. Open an iTar at MetaLink.

I have the exact same issue, and it is a bug.

"De-installing" a product (Oracle's parlance) should remove the product completely, and not leave the registry a cluttered mess as it currently doesn.
