Worked as an Informatica developer on a Reinsurance Enterprise Data warehouse, The Reinsurance Data Warehouse Project was launched with the goal of building a single, centralized reporting environment that will cleanse and consolidate data from the XL Reinsurance Business Units on a daily basis, and format this data for reporting purposes. The design is based on Ralph Kimball¡¦s data warehouse design methodology, which allows for the design of an enterprise scale data warehouse that can be implemented.
The Enterprise Data warehouse consists of 3 major data London, Bermuda and America. The XL Reinsurance Data Warehouse BUS Matrix is a theoretical set of star schemas associated with the different business processes. From this data warehouse various data marts are built.
There were 3 sources for this warehouse AS 400, SQL Server and Sybase. The Repository was created on the Sybase database.
I was involved in understanding the business process, designing the specifications and developing the Informatica maps to load the various dimensions and facts in the Star Schema. There were 4 facts (Estimated, Ultimate, Earned and Actuals) and 13 Dimensions (Date, Company, Cedant, Account Service Broker, Layer, Contract, Class of Business, Profit Center, Zone, Currency, transaction header, transaction type, Peril).
I was also involved in building the HELPER table for Class of Business, Profit Center, Peril and Zone. The helper table was used for reporting purpose.

ASR (Active Service Request) is a data warehouse project for Williams Communication¡¦s. This maintains the operational data and the Historical data, which is used for analytical analysis. The Data is loaded in a Star Schema in form of Dimension and cubes, which is further used for reporting purposes using COGNOS.
Objective/Tasks performed:
In this project , there are 6 sources (Oracle, Flat Files, SQL Server, Sybase, People soft, Access). I was using Informatica tool (PowerCenter) to grab the data from different sources and load it in a target Schema in a target database which was Oracle. To perform this Loading I was using various Transformations like Source Qualifier, Aggregator, Filter, Lookup, Joiner, Rank, __Expression, Stored Procedure etc. to cleanse and format the input data and loading into the target by creating Sessions for this Mappings.
I was involved in Creating Mapping and then later Sessions to execute the mappings. In the later half I was also involved in tuning the Session since I was receiving a huge amount of data (approx 10 millions rows per day).

However, the current phase of the project only covers implementing what is needed to support ICF processing.
Objective/Tasks performed:
The objective of the Policy Percent project is to support accurate ¡¥agent bursting¡¦ for ICF and enterprise level financial applications through the application of necessary changes and improvements to the IDB Policy Agent maintenance processing and data. AXA¡¦s enterprise Policy Agent data has many sources. There are daily and monthly feeds. There are feeds that replace the entire policy¡¦s policy agent data, and feeds that apply to only one record per policy. They come in many formats. And there is a possibility that new feeds can be added in the future. The objective of this project is to format the input data (which comes from many sources) with data values more meaningful to the Data Warehouse. The data in these feeds that are needed for policy agent maintenance in these different feeds consist of a limited number of fields. All standard transaction record, including all possibly required fields pertaining to a single policy/agent/role combination, has been designed as a standard interface to Policy Agent maintenance core module.
The several (five) formats are mapped to the standard format. Extensive data transformations and filters are used to get the Standard Transaction Record to feed the Data Warehouse.
