This company in the Denver, Colorado area is looking for Oracle Developers
to join a high-powered team of professionals building a state of the art
business application system for an emerging communications solutions company.
Located in Englewood, this client has a project-oriented team
that designs, constructs and supports solutions for internal users out of
Oracle ERP applications and tools, Siebel Sales and Service, and Web
Methods EAI and B2B. They need highly skilled people to help launch a large and
exciting system right now, and to help continuously improve and evolve
it well into the future.

The company will not take H1B's, they will consider candidates only in CO,
(no relocation is provided), and any candidate must be willing to travel
100% from CO to NJ from the date-of-hire until 1/1/02.

Requirements:
At least 1-2 years of experience in developing and configuring Oracle ERP
applications. At least 3-5 years of experience in software development,
systems analysis, and design.

Additional Requirements:
Proven ability to wield Oracle development tools like PL/SQL, Forms,
Reports, Workflow, interface tables, flex fields. Oracle 11i experience is
of special interest. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Oracle ERP
applications architecture, data structures, and functionality.

PL/SQL 2.0, SQL*Menu, SQL*Loader

Responsibilities : Quality Checking, Implementation, User Traning,
Oracle DBA Activities.
Period : From APR 98 - Till Date

Conversion of D2k 4.5 to 6i and Database Conversion from 7.3 to 8i in progress.

BOM (Bill of Materials)
This is an engineering module which contains all the part level details like the Part Master,
Bill of Materials, Route Card Information, Tool Card etc.

COP (Customer Order Processing)
This is one of the biggest modules, which has details starting from the enquiry of the customer
to the dispatch of the order. Also it has very useful queries and reports to enhance the utility.

EXC (EXCISE MODULE)
In this module, the excise accounts like PLA, RG23A, C are handled for
debits and credits and at any point of time the balances are made available to the user. Excise
related reports are generated thro' the system.

PUR (Purchase Module)
Captures information starting from enquiry generation, Quotation absorption and PO generation.
Supplier rating is an important facility available.

GIM (Goods Inward Module)
This module captures the incoming DC / Invoices from the suppliers, GRN generation, Inspection
and Acceptance to stock are the trasactions involved. Purchase Returns are generated through
this module for rejected materials.

MRP (MATERIAL REQUIREMENT PLANNING)
This module generates the requirement of manufacturing items, Boughtout items, and Subcontract items
for the plan period selected. The requirement is allowed to modify by the user and finally provisions are
given to generate Auto SRS, Auto PRS and Auto Work orders.

SCP (Shop Capacity Planning)
Capacity generation for different work centers involved in the manufacturing processes are first
ascertained. Then the Requirement generation is compared with this available capacity to give the
shop capaicty

SFC(Shop Floor Control)
Work order generation, Job tickets are generated thro this module which is fed to the manufacturing
process. The shop floor activity is captured thro' time cards in which the timings are captured for each
job with the employees details.

OTHER PROJECTS HANDLED :

CUSTOMER CARE CENTRE (CCC)
This project was developed in view of customer care, where the customer calls are captured in the
database and their quires are answered on the phone. This is made possible by giving a nested query
in one screen which gives details of the Customer, Order Information, Dispatch Information, Payment
Outstanding, Pending Quotations, Enquiries, Proformas, Damage Request etc. Using this online help
information all the customer queries are answered on the phone.

CUSTOMER ORDER PROCESSING SYSTEMS (COPS) :
This project was mainly to transfer data from our Manufacturing unit to our Marketing office and Vice-
Versa. Here the oracle database is converted to flat files and sent to marketing office. In our marketing
office, the data is retrieved back by converting flat files to database.

CUSTOMER ORDER TRACKING SYSTEMS (COTS)
This project is about giving our customers a view of their order status on Web. Each customer is given
a code (user name) and a password thro' which he can log on to web and see the status of his order. The
updating is done at our Manufacturing unit on a daily basis and updated to Web.

DBA Activities Doing

Startup and Shutdown procedures
Users are created for each module separately and appropriate grants and training were given.
Backup and recovery procedures
Export and Import of database.
Solving problems faced by users - Program debugging and correction, New Forms & reports design
as per users request
Solving problems related to Networking i.e lan
Monitoring User activities on the server.
Handling internet overall activities.
Conversion of D2k 4.5 to 6i and Database Conversion from 7.3 to 8i in progress.

Personal Interest:
· Can conduct functional training programs on ERP Modules independently.

Can u tell me in detail the steps from scratch to final for one FORM which u converted from 4.5 to 6i.
