If I have 12 disks to play with, where can I find info on the best way to seperate index, data, OS, etc?

Dont have HUGE datafile in one tablespace. Have multiple datafiles in a tablespace .
Now distribute the tablespaces ( datafiles )across the disk.
have index tablespaces and data tablespacs in seperate disk.
Idea is minimize the i/o. Index/table data can share the tablespace. It makes no difference in performance.
