Hi.

I am having problems connecting to a remote Oracle 8.05 database using ODBC. SQL+ is working fine, so I assume that Net*8 is up and going. I have 2 oracle clients, with ORACLE_HOME set to d:oracle8 and the ODBC drivers in my registry pointing correctly.

When I create and test a DSN I get the errors dialogs:

1. OCI.DLL ~ specified module could not be found
2. SQLState=IM003 ~ Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 1114 (Oracle ODBC Driver)

I have checked my path settings and they seem to be okay. ODBC appears to be working correctly for other (non-Oracle) servers. I am not sure what else it could be. Any ideas?

Thanks,

-mark.

I would suggest you reinstall the Oracle ODBC client.
