I am running Win XP & 98 parallel on my PC.
Can I install Red Hat Linux without overwriting the exisisting O/S ?
Again, can anyone give me a sugession on which RDBMS is suitable on a Linux platform , that is easily available in markets.

Yes, this is possible, unless you have unpartitioned space on one of your hard discs you will need to resize you partitions, best bet (as you're a windows user) is to use something like partition magic.. or alternatively but a small ish 2nd disk and use that!

as for rdbms on linux, you have the big 3, oracle, postgres and mysql, it depends on what you are doing but all are excellent...
