oracle 9.2.0.1.0 install on RedHat Linux 9 [message #98942]

Hello,

I followed the doc 'Installing Oracle9i Database On RedHat Linux 9' to install Oracle 9i on Red Hat Linux 9. The installation went through fine, but at step 6 the Postinstall 'agentctl start' would generate the following error:

"nmiclbg_ensureAlive:: Initialize error for nmigenctx.". Can somebody tell me what's the issue and how to work around? Btw, the step before that to generate ctxhx with the adding -ldl flag went fine.

I just solved the issue on Fedora Core 1 (very similar to RH9) by applying the p3119415_9204_LINUX.zip patch (btw, you need also p2617419_220_GENERIC.zip from Metalink).

Sorry, I've forgot to mentio p3238244_9204_LINUX.zip patch from metalink, too... now works fine.

Has anyone figured this one out. I'm facing the same error in HPUX 11i. The error is

NMS-00010: Parsing parameter file failed.
