RedHat 8.0 installation error: unable to probe monitor [message #98858]

Hi,
I was trying to install RH 8.0, from the very begigging I have this error: " Probing for monitor type: unable to probe". Than it hangs, I really don't know what to do. I am trying on compaq 1600 prolient server.
Also I tried in defferent monitor.
Please help me

Azad,

Had the same problem on my 1600 with RH 9.0. Try using Linux nousb option on the command line, it worked for me!

Thanks a lot! The parameter linux nousb also resolve the same problem I have been encountering with installing RH9 on a Proliant 1600 machine.
