I seek to install Oracle database on RedHat Linux(8.0). My questions :

1. Is Oracle for Linux available under GPL license(free wrt price)?

2. Is 512 MB RAM limitation for Oracle 9.2 indeed a limit for installation ? Has anyone installed with lower MBs?

1. oracle is not an opensource.
But you still download and use it for personal dev/ test.
2. 512 mB ram is recomended.
I have tried the same with 256 ram.
it works OK. But performance is poor..
