I have the same error using Oracle 9i on SuSE 8.0. It is is more difficult to solve on 9i, as the solution requires logging in to SQLPLUS as DBA, rather than just using svrmgrl. Logging into SQLPLUS is precisely when the error occurs! Does anyone know of a variant of svrmgrl for 9i?
