Could anybody tell me how to store .xml file in the oracle database. Can this be done by using BFILE ?

Hi Jayasri,

You can either store it as a BFILE, or read the file contents into a CLOB (which is the data-type behind Oracle 9i's new XML Data Type).

use dbms_xml.save() to store data from xml file.
i m using 8i and i have not this utility.
i will be oblige if u can send me the catxsu.sql file
it is in $home/admin dir
