fmb is uncompiled. When you compile it generates an fmx file

So at what point are you generating fmx's?

I do not have Windows fmb file since I lost it. I copied Linux fmb into Windows and trying to open and want to add more logic further. if Unix file is opened in Windows, it will be helpful to work faster than Unix environment

This is why you're supposed to use a source control system.

How did you transfer the file from windows to linux?
Did you do anything to it on the linux server?
How did you get it back?

fmb is a binary file - it should go from one O/S to the other without issue.

Did you check your ftp program was set to treat the file as binary?
