Hi Experts,

I am getting ORA-12560 while trying to connect a two node RAC.
This is only happening with SCAN IP. With local listeners I can connect with both nodes.
TNSPING is showing this error:

****************************************************************
C:\Users\shahnawazq>tnsping racdb

TNS Ping Utility for 32-bit Windows: Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production on 27-JUL-2

Used parameter files:
D:\app\shahnawazq\product\11.2.0\client_1\network\admin\sqlnet.ora

Used TNSNAMES adapter to resolve the alias
Attempting to contact (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)
(HOST = falcon-scan)(PORT = 1521))) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED) (SERVIC
E_NAME = racdb.ig.com)))
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error

Kindly tell me which information you need from me.

Thanks and Regards,
Qazi

Thanks to all experts for kind help.

Issue was resolved by changing SCAN IP. In fact Network team gave existing scan ip to another machine. Node 2 was unable to resolve to scan because of ip conflict. When I gave new IP to SCAN then problem gone.

Thanks again for help.
