Hi All,

i need to encqrpt the password while connecting to DB where i am using in shell script, is there a way to encrypt the password

sqlldr userid=user/<password>@DBcontrol=/path/load.ctl

For this I would use O/S authentication.

Sorry sqlplus / is not allowed to connect and how will i come to know which user and DB to be connected.

What do you mean "not allowed to connect"? You will know which user by their O/S username.

actually is there a way to encrpyt the password while establishing the connection ??

sqlldr userid=user/<encrypted>@DB

Actually i am not getting how i can hide the password so that no one can't see the actual password basically in encrypt format
