Hi All,

I have one staging server where all the archivelogs are being transferred from PROD for Goldengate.
From the downstream server GG reads and replicat the changes to the target instance.

Here the problem is the archive destination is getting full very fast and we have to manually delete the archivelog files.
Each time we have to go to ggsci prompt and to check the lowest sequence number, and then we are removing the files.

Is there is any way we can remove the files automatically based on the owest sequence number?

I assume if you have RMAN archive job in production database then you should register extract in goldengate and then set RMAN below.

Use REGISTER EXTRACT to register a primary Extract group with an Oracle database to:
● Enable integrated capture mode.
● Enable Extract in classic capture mode to work with Oracle Recovery Manager to
retain the archive logs needed for recovery.
REGISTER EXTRACT is not valid for a data pump Extract.
To unregister en Extract group from the database, use the UNREGISTER EXTRACT command
(see page 52).
Syntax REGISTER EXTRACT <group name>
