Hi,

I have an issue that at night the link between the primary and standby got break down.
and many logs got generated at primary side. say around 1000 logs got generated.
So, How to sync with standby. and given time is very less say 30 -45 mins.
Please tell me all the possible ways to sync and the best one which consumes less time.
Thanks

A thousand logs? Over night?? Your online and standby log files need to be about a hundred times larger.
But apart from that, the fetch archive log mechanism will take care of the situation automatically as soon as you re-start redo propagation.

If you use Data Guard there is nothing to do to synchronize, Oracle do it itself (assuming the archived logs are still at primary site).
Now for the time, it depends only on your hardware.

You can transfer and register yourself the missing archived logs on the standby server, maybe with parallelism if your hardware supports it.
But, anyway, the application of 12 hours of logs/work will not take 5 minutes.
