Hi everyone!

Just try to install jdevstudio11123install.exe on Windows 7 professional. Once I run this exe at the end of the first screen "Oracle installer" - "Preparing the installer" I get an error "Java virtual machine launcher" - "Could not find the main class. Program will exit".

Could I ask you please how to solve this problem?

I have no any Java or Java SDK installed on the machine, have no any environment variables like JAVA_XXXX, just Matlab R2012b installed and running correctly with some Java directory inside.

Thank you very much in advance!!!

Believe or not, there's a book about that Spanish guy named Manual. You should read it. It describes everything you need to know in order to successfully install that piece of software.

Unfortunately does not help - I installed jdk-7u13-windows-x64.exe as the only requirement software for Oracle JDeveloper in manual and still have the same problem

Did you, by any chance, unzip installation files into a directory that contains space in its name (such as "c:\j developer installation folder")? If so, try to install it from a directory whose name does NOT contain any spaces (such as "c:\jdevinst").

I neither create any directories nor extract files from jdevstudio11123install.exe. Just run this file which successfully run on Windows 7 home edition and Windows Vista. But when I run it on Windows 7 Professional it returns an error

(Runs OK on Windows Home? That's not supported, I think. But ) it is strange that it won't work on Windows 7 Professional ... Are you sure you installed the required Java version? Is JDK at the beginning of the system PATH variable?

There is a
Note:
JDK 6 Update 27 is installed automatically when you use the platform-specific installer.

in installation guide, so when I run Windows specific jdevstudio11123install.exe it does not require any JDK installed at all

No idea, then. If you followed installation instructions but still can't install JDeveloper, perhaps you should contact Oracle Support.
