Hi Friends

I would like to verify the copy of the file.

For Example
The comman is,
Quote:

cp -pfu x.doc /x.doc

Size of "x.doc" is 72 mb. Now i want to verify that the destination file and source file has the same size and timestamp.
Is it possible with cp command?

I know the command in windows but dont know in linux, So please help me in it.

Thanks
Chintan

It means there is one command in windows (From DOS Prompt).

Quote:

copy /v x.doc x1.doc

"/V" means "Verifies that new files are written correctly."

I don't think there is such thing in Unix "cp" command.
