Hi dears,
What are the most important performance keys we have to calculate or take in account to preserve or to increase the DB performance in terms of response times, and whatsoever according to performance ?

Thanks in advance

It would be helpful if you followed Posting Guidelines - http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/88153/0/

set parameter as below

_MAKE_SQL_FAST=TRUE

when all else fails, Read The Fine Manual

What kind of answer did you expect to a question like that?

Do you have a specific performance issue that needs addressing? Or are you just fishing for basic understanding on performance in relational databases in general? Or is there something else you wanted?

Maybe if you tell us why you are asking the question we can offer more relevant help. Otherwise, do as was suggested and set the hidden parameter _fast=true (of course there is no such parameter).

Kevin

Thanks Kevin for your reply. I was actually looking for general understandings on performance. And I've followed your basics on http://www.orafaq.com/forum/mv/msg/170674/505512/136107/#msg_505512 and I was well informed. Thanks another time Kevin for your advises.
