Can we restore a database if we have only the datafiles available? The database has been dropped but we have just the datafiles with NO system, sysaux, users and undo datafiles that were saved after taking the database offline and then dropping the database. I know this is strange but if poosible, I want to see if we can retrieve some of the data from those datafiles to another database. BTW, There is no backup available for this database except the dbf files on OS. Let me know if this is possible. Thanks

You can't.
You can call Oracle to retrieve your data.

mostly the answer is "NO"
your DB was in Archive mode and also you have archives available?
than try to create initial P-file and try to start DB ...... its not possible but try as i never come across this situation where we dont have backups also !!!!!

Thanks,
Hitesh
