Hi All,

Is there any way to compress data while export in ORACLE 10g or if there is any other way I can reduce the space consumed by the datafiles.

In the same way than in the previous versions.

Use rman and try the "BACKUP AS COMPRESSED BACKUPSET" option.

This an export question not a backup one.
How do you do it to export one of my table with RMAN?

How do you know if the OP is doing (or not) a FULL export?
If this is the case (full export), rman is the best option.

The question is about export, you can talk about RMAN or football but this has nothing to do with the question.
If you want to extend the question, PM OP, don't do it in forum.

There's an example of how to export to a pipe which is then read by a compression program here,

It does not matter, it is an EXPORT question which has nothing to do with backup and RMAN.
Then you mixed unrelated points and the topic becomes a mess.
