Hello,

Does anyone has already installed Oracle 10g (10.2.0.1) on a windows 2003 server x64? Do you notice strange behaviours, any errors after the installation?

Does anyone has already installed Oracle 10g on a windows virtual machine? Are there any prerequisites?

Thanks in advance.
Sak.

There is no specific pre-request installing oracle 10g in VMWare. You can follow oracle installation document.

Hi Babu,
No, there is no problem during the installation but 2 days after, a message appeared: "Oracle Enterprise Manager executable encountered a problem and need to close".
So I'm wondering if is Oracle is compatible with windows virtual machines?
Thanks for your help.

Yes

Ignore this message. You may re-create OEM Console after the database creation

Thanks for the reply but what would you like to mean by recreating the OEM Console?

You can manually configure OEM Console using the below command.

emca -deconfig dbcontrol db -repos drop
emca -config dbcontrol db -repos create

or

emca -deconfig dbcontrol db
emca -config dbcontrol db -repos recreate
