i have never used tap drive before. kindly tell me how can i get configure tap drive so that i can take rman backup on tap.

You have to buy a MML (media management library) and then it depends on your tape and OS backup software editor.

Configuration is made like in the following: Configuring Tape Devices and Channels

Examples are given in: Backing Up to the Flash Recovery Area and to Tape: Basic Scenarios

what is MML (media management library) is this available on internet for free , My firend told me about oracle secure backup
