Hi,

I am trying to do as following:

I have old server with 10.2.0.3 32 bits on Linux.

We are trying to have RH Linux 5.4 64 bits and oracle 10.2.0.3 64 bits.

I have cold backup of the 10.2.0.3 32 bits database. How can i restore from 10.2.0.3 32 bits cold backup to new server?

Thanks
Pat

use cp, scp or how ever you would do restore.
The files won't know the OS is now 64-bit & not 32-bit.
There is Metalink NOTE on steps to convert 32-bit files to 64-bit.
