i m having backup of my oracle database upto yesterday,(datafile,controlfile,logfiles)but no archive log. suddenly my server totally collapsed, mean i could not even openup, then i make it ready a server with OS(redhat linux 4) installed.
i need to recover my oracle database.
can you please give me the steps from install oracle.

if it's a cold backup of the database, restore all backed-up files (datafiles, controlfiles, logfiles, CONFIGURATION FILES) and start the database.
The details of the restore process would depend on the details of the backup process.
