Change File Locations while Transport Tablespace [message #416476]

Hi,

Is it possible to change the file locations dynamically while doing transportable tablespace?
This is required while transporting tablespace from one database to another on the same host

Thanks for quick reply

The link is quite useful but using RMAN has it's constraints as mentioned in the document.

I would like to know if, while we import(impdp) the metadata in destination database during TTS, can be use something like remap_datafile/ db_file_name_convert so that the datafiles can be created at different location(after physically copying to that location for destination database)

As your question is posted in "Backup & Recovery" forum, I assume you use RMAN.
If the question is about DataPump it should be
1/ Post in "Server Utilities" as clearly mentioned in forum list
2/ Post it clearly in your question.
Then it will save both your and our time.
