Hi,

I take hotbackup through rman , i have backup from Apr'09 to till,
Now i have configured the RETENTION POLICY TO RECOVERY WINDOW OF 14 DAYS on 13-May-09,i have also changed the control_file_record_keep_time parameter value to 22. But when i fire the REPORT OBSOLETE command, till 13-MAY-09 all backup shown as obsolete backup.

can any one let us know how to set RETENTION POLICY.

Regards
Sudhir

If you didn't make any backup since Apr'09 this one is not obsolete.

REPORT OBSOLETE reports obsolete.
LIST BACKUP, for instance, reports available backups.
