hi all,
i am using oracle 10g v1 on xp

my database name is newtry and is in noarchive mode
i have yesterday nights backup.
i deleted my tablespace named sonu
now i want to restore it.

=> shutdown immediate
=> startup mount
=> restore database

RMAN> recover database;

Starting recover at 20-MAY-09
using channel ORA_DISK_1
using channel ORA_DISK_2

starting media recovery

unable to find archive log
archive log thread=1 sequence=62
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-03002: failure of recover command at 05/20/2009 14:26:58
RMAN-06054: media recovery requesting unknown log: thread 1 seq 62 lowscn 778137

=> i am getting this error

=> and can i restore my database to last backup with these commands, or any additional steps are required.

You must have the archived logs available in order to be able to recover.

You can't.
If you have taken a cold bakcup you just can restore the database at this step.
If not, you simply can't.

hi all.

working on oracle 10g v1 , windows

i have taken full backup of my database but it is not showing in the backup

=> list backup of tablespace sonu;

could not translate tablespace sonu

can any one help me

because i have to recover my database till last night

And the previous message was, I bet:

Please post the whole stack.

Then you have no backup of your tablespace, then you can't restore it.
