hey people,

i delete all my redolog files. I just have my .dbf files.
Yes it sounds stupid, but i am a learnig student, sry.

Is it now possible to restore or reset the database without the redolog files, because when i startup my database i get the message...

ora-00313: open failes for members of log group 1 of thread 1
ora-00312: online log 1 thread 1:
'theplacewherethelogshuldbe/.log'
ora-27037: unable to obtain file status

i know i need them but maybe their is a backdoor

thanks for help and a good day

raphael

Startup in mount mode, recreate log file with alter database clear logfile, and if you are (very) lucky you can open with resetlog option.

And this does not help us help you.
Copy and paste what you did.

The ONLY way is what I told you.
If you can't with it and have no backup you lost your database.

Michel
