When I issue TRANSPORT TABLESPACE command like follows:

run
{
transport tablespace 'USERS'
Tablespace destination 'E:\oracle\trn\tts_rman'
Auxiliary destination 'E:\oracle\trn\aux_dest'
dump file 'trn.dmp'
import script 'imp.src'
export log 'exp.log';
}

I get an error like follows:

---------------------------------------------------------------
RMAN-01008: the bad identifier was: transport
---------------------------------------------------------------

Could anyone please tell me what the error is?

ALWAYS copy and paste your session.
ALWAYS post it formatted.
ALWAYS post your Oracle version with 4 decimals.

Regards
Michel

Thats ok.
Sorry for that.

But I am in a critical problem. Please suggest me why the TRANSPORT command is not working in RMAN?

You will get a faster answer if you post what we ask.
I don't diagnose without seeing the problem.

Hi,

I suggest you try this
transport tablespace USERS
instead of
transport tablespace 'USERS'

Alex

I hope you have good backups along with documented & tested recovery procedure.

GOOGLE is your friend, but only when you use it.
Results 1 - 10 of about 19,900 for oracle corrupt redo log.

Please do NOT hijack old threads. Start your own next time.
